The famous Spanish team has hired Mikel Landa which is adding confusion to whom is the team leader among the Movistar as he is capable of beating is team mates Nairo Qunitana and Alejandro Valverde on the 3 weeks Grand Tour like the Tour de France or Giro D'Italia.
Not forgetting Carlos Betancur, Amador, Anacona, Bennati and Rojas, the team is packed with talented riders and hopefully management has a clear strategy to ensure a lot of winning during this 2018 UCI World Tour.
Althought there are mainly spanish riders among the team, it is a multi nationalities team members but all are latin.
Movistar team is racing the 2018 season on Canyon carbon road bikes (Endurance, Ultimate, Aeroad, Speedmax (TT)) equipped with Campagnolo Super Record EPS 11 speed groupset, Campagnolo carbon wheels fitted with Continental tires and tubulars, Power2Max powermeter and speedmeter, Canyon components (Stem / handlebar and seat post), Elite bottles and bottle cages, Fizik saddle, LizardSkins bar tape.
